To be fully alive is to act; to be fully alive is to contemplate.

Silence

Silence
stained with a touch of gold
its sound so pleasing to the ears
Listen carefully
and you can feel its presence

Silence
once forgotten by the curious boy
as he sought to love and play
But hard lessons he has learnt
as quietness paves its way

Silence
sealed, released and resealed
to embrace is to let go
When the lips touch each other
the warmth in the stomach grows

Silence
What my heart forever desires
I ought not utter a single word
before the Almighty God
As I am but a worm

Who am I to speak?
Who am I to voice out?
Who am I to break the Silence?
May it fill me up and quench my thirst.
